I have known Hannah for my entire life. As children, we were good friends who had sleepovers and playdates. As a teenager and a young photographer, Hannah’s mom, Missy, who at the time was a photographer herself, allowed me to assist her with weddings. Eventually, I second shot for Missy at weddings, which sparked my love for wedding photography.
Several years later, Hannah and I reconnected when we attended the same college in Nashville. I still remember my first day on campus when Hannah saw me, and excitedly said, “come meet DJ, you’ll love him!” and as I watched them interact over my next few years at college, I saw how much they loved and cared for each other. They are fun to be around, and never fail to make their friends and family laugh. Hannah and DJ are one of those couples that you can, without a doubt, say that they were made for each other.
I was there for Hannah & DJ’s proposal as their photographer, and I was even more honored to be there as their photographer and friend on their wedding day.
Hannah & DJ’s wedding day was absolutely perfect. I arrived at Hannah’s home the morning of the wedding, to see everyone having fun and getting ready. The day was so relaxed—a rare find at a wedding! The rest of the day went by so smoothly, with Hannah and DJ enjoying being around their friends and family. Their ceremony was heartfelt, and I watched as they both teared while reading their vows to each other. They spoke of how much they loved each other. They also spoke of how thankful they were that God had chosen for them to be together.
The reception was full of life and energy, as everyone came together after months of quarantine and separation. It was a breath of fresh air to be in an indoor reception space, too! Haha!
Here are some of my favorites from their STUNNING wedding in Florida last month!
